And rang in 2013 in viva Las Vegas with my loved ones..

Well that is my review of the year..
2012 you have been very, very good to me but I am excited for 2013..
It's amazing what you can fit into a year and all that you can
accomplish! I feel very blessed for all the treasured memories
I got to have in 2012..There were hard times for sure, but
many wonderful times as well..

May 2013 bring more of the same :)

Trip Up North..

The first part of January Adam and I decided
to head up to Salt Lake to visit his family. This Christmas
we weren't able to spend with them so it was really nice
to get to spend a weekend with them! And we were excited
to be a part of our nephew Jordan's baptism!

We both decided to take work off on Friday and drive up Thursday evening.
Weather was good, besides the fact that it was fareeezzing cold.
It was a about 5 degrees when we got to their house..
I didn't start our trip off very good and ended up with
a horrible tooth pain. Unfortunately, the pain didn't go away and
only got worse, luckily I was on antibiotics and pain killers, but it was still
tough to get through the weekend.
We spent most of our time just visiting and relaxing with the family.
I was so blessed to have an amazing family that was able
to give me a priesthood blessing and take care of
me so much while I was in pain..

On Saturday morning Adam and his brother, dad and nephew
went bunny hunting. They had a blast but didn't get anything. That
afternoon was the baptism. We were so proud of Jordan!
He's such a cute 8 year old!

I really wanted to go to City Creek Center and enjoy
some Salt Lake activities but between my pain and the freezing
temperatures we didn't get out to do much! I really liked just being
at home with the family. That's one nice thing about
my in laws, is that it's a good time just sitting around with them!
I really missed my sister in law too.. since she's moved
up north we haven't got to have some fun chatting sessions..
and it was great to spend some quality time with her!

Adam took some fun pictures of the kids on our
trip.. here are some of my favorite!

miss this bunch!

I also got the amazing chance to see my best friend's
new house.. which is not so new to her anymore!
I loved seeing it.. it's absolutely gorgeous and I loved
seeing her cute pregnant self! Miss her so much!

New Years 2012

New Years 2012 didn't disappoint!
We headed down to Las Vegas again with my family.
We were able to spend Saturday through Tuesday down there
and stay again at the beautiful Palazzo hotel.

That Saturday when we headed down my Grandma
was with us since we were dropping her off at the airport the next
morning. We didn't do much our first day but a little
shopping and eat a yummy dinner. It was fun to have my
Grandma with us for a little bit.

The next morning my Grandma left and we enjoyed a day of
shopping and watching some football. It was actually a relaxing
day considering we were in Vegas. That night we went
to the New York New York casino and did a little gambling
The boys lost.. and my mom won big!
Her big win and my tiny pathetic win..

New Years Eve day we
again did more shopping.. what else do you do in Vegas?
And that evening before the craziness and firework show, we
went and saw Cris Angel the Magician and very cool show at
the Luxor. I really liked the show but it wasn't something I'd
go see again! He was a funny guy though!
After the show we just decided to walk down the strip
and make our way towards the Palazoo. Since it was about 9 or 10
that night the strip was already closed so it was easy
to walk around and the street was already getting filled of people.
We also went into the Paris hotel and had their delicious
buffet for dinner!

After dinner we just roamed the streets and got ready
for the firework show! It was freezing cold that night and
so we were all bundled up! It was such a fun night though
and even more fun having my brother with us!
The firework show is amazing as always.. I love watching
them off Treasure Island and Palazzo, we always get the
best view! I'm one lucky girl to get such a fun
trip to start off my New Year!

Here are a few pictures from New Years Eve! ...

Happy New Year 2012!

Christmas 2012

I can't believe the Christmas holiday has come and gone already.
This year I don't know what it was but the whole month
of December flew by and I didn't even fit everything
in I was hoping to do!

Christmas 2012 was spent here in St. George.
I was lucky enough to have all my side of the family around
but we did miss our Holden family this year!

We had my grandma in from Colorado, Uncle, Aunt and cousin
from Colorado, Uncle, Aunt, cousins from California and all our
St. George family this year..
On Christmas Eve Adam and I headed over around 2
to my parents house. I always like getting there early
before all the rest of the family show up!
My parents wanted to keep it real simple this year for dinner
and so we ordered Bucca Di Peppo for Christmas Eve. It was delicious!
Our night was filled with the traditional festivities of Christmas Eve.
I sure love this night.. Christmas Eve has always
been the more celebrated day with my family!

After our yummy dinner we exchanged cousin white-elephant
gifts and cousin gift card gifts..
Both of our 'stories' were fun and Adam and I ended up getting
an ovulation kit and 'boob job' for our white-elephant gifts!
All of the gifts were pretty creative!
For our gift cards we got Menchies and Cold Stone..
We didn't come out too bad with getting two yummy gift cards!
After our gift exchanges we started the annual
Bingo game! It got a little crazy with our 20+ people
but was still a blast nonetheless!

Once the fun and games calmed down it was just my
immediate family that was left, with grandma of course
and sometimes this is just the way I like it on Christmas Eve.
The night finally calms down and we can open a few presents.
We always get our surprise 'Christmas PJ's' which were so comfy..
This year Adam decided my mom should have some to open as
well, so we got her some cute red jammies.

After we opened those presents we decided to head down stairs
and watch a movie. The past 3 years since Adam and I have
been married, we have stayed the night at my parents..
it may be funny to some, since we live only about 5 minutes away
from them, but I love it! I guess it just makes me feel
like a kid again and I love being home. Adam is always such a supporter
and never really questions my crazy wishes!
Unfortunately there is nothing like sleeping in your own bed,
so we didn't have the best nights sleep.
Trevor pulled his mattress out on the basement floor, Tay was on the
love sac and Adam and I slept on the couches.. We turned
on Polar Express and I was out within the first few minutes!
I remember waking up around midnight that night
my cute siblings and Adam sleeping peacfully and I looked
at my mom's beautiful tree that she has had since I was young
and it was giving off the perfect Christmas glow I couldn't resist snapping a shot
of it..I just love it..

Even though we have no young children in my family yet..
we were somehow all up at 6:30.. way too early!
My mom is cute and still does the whole "Santa" thing for Tay
and us since we are there! It's funny!
We did get an awesome camera that we both wanted
and a lot of cool presents. We were truly spoiled!
Christmas Day was spent relaxing and watching movies!
We watched the new Batman, Bourne Legacy, and Trouble with the Curve
all great shows.. But it was just quite a boring day.
It was also weird and sad to not be able to run over
and see our other family! I sure miss having them so close!
It was great however to have all my mom's family in town
and my sweet grandmother. It was nice to all be together for the holiday.

Every year I'm pretty sure I say the same thing.. but
we are truly blessed and are so thankful for this amazing holiday.
I'm so grateful for the birth of my Savior and the awesome
gospel that I get to have in my life.
I love the spirit of Christmas, it's by far my absolute
favorite time of the year.. I think in part because I love
to be with family and I love planning all the fun activities..
Adam and I were again spoiled this year..
Adam got me way too much, as usual..
his parents spoiled us during the Thanksgiving holiday and after
and my family got us way too much..
but in the spirit of Christmas we loved the giving and receiving!

Hope you all had an amazing Christmas Holiday filled with lots
of laughter, family, friends and the spirit of our Savior.
