New Years

For the New Year weekend we headed down to Vegas again with my family! Such a great weekend full of lots of laughs!

We headed down Friday around 12 and then checked into the hotel. My dad decided he wanted to stay at the Palazzo again which is right there on the strip (which makes it nice once the craziness starts) Then we all got ready and went and saw Mission Impossible and then had dinner at Claim Jumper. Linzi came down w/us this year (my bro's girlfriend) and then Gabe my sister's boyfriend came down as well. It was a little different having more people this year around, but definitley a lot of fun!

On Saturday we got up and did some shopping and then my dad had made reservations at Capital Grill, which is right on the strip in the Fashion Show mall. I've only been once, and its amazing. It's extremely nice and I felt totally spoiled being able to eat there. It was a wonderful meal with the family!

After dinner we headed back up to our room at took a little nap before the firework show! haha.. yeah we slept from like 9 p.m. till around 10:30 and then headed down to the strip. Tay & Gabe ran off ahead because they wanted to walk really far down the strip.. us older peeps wanted to just stay close to our hotel. It was a pretty long wait this year.. We had to stand around for about an hour before the fireworks, and there wasn't much for us to do.. besides watch crazy drunks - which is always entertaining. I took some pictures of this beautifully lit up tree below which was at the Venetian - it was so pretty I couldn't get enough pictures! & Below are just pictures of us on the strip waiting for the show! ...

The fireworks were amazing! I love going to Vegas over New Years because of the sweet firework show. This year was a really awesome trip and everyone had a blast. I love adding new people into our family, even though Linzi is still 'unoffical' I totally feel like she is my sister in law!

 2012 is going to be a great year.. I know my family was really excited to ring in this year because Elder Meserve comes home this summer! :)
